About Toothfish

Toothfish is an eco-artist and international poster project.who raises awareness of environmental/political issues by producing posters which are distributed internationally in both the real and virtual worlds.

Toothfish are also a  species of deep water fish which live in the South Atlantic and the Antarctic. These large fish feed on squid, prawns and other fish and are themselves preyed on by Sperm Whales, Elephant Seals and Colossal Squid. Like many other fish their population is threatened by both legal and illegal fishing. Indeed the whole ocean around  Antarctica is threatened by these fishing activities with two boats recently burning and sinking in the Ross Sea.
